Homeopathy Treatment for Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders in Hyderabad

Important: Evidence supporting homeopathy for specific health conditions is limited. This information does not replace diagnosis or prescribed treatment. Continue care with your treating physician.

Blood sugar can stay high even with real effort: a controlled diet, regular morning walks, and every tablet taken as prescribed. This happens because diabetes involves insulin resistance, weight, stress and family history acting together, not one habit that can simply be corrected. Burning in the feet after dark, or a small cut on the toe that takes unusually long to heal, are common early signs, and when readings stay stubborn, doctors often add one more tablet to a list that is already long.

For many patients, diabetes does not appear alone. Blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol frequently turn up together at the same check-up, which means tablets before breakfast and after dinner, a strict diet chart, and ongoing concern about the effect on the kidneys, heart and eyes over time.

Metabolic complaints are among the most common problems we see at our Old Bowenpally clinic. Dr. Ravinder Raju has spent more than twenty-five years treating them with homeopathy, working alongside your reports and the doctor who wrote your prescription. The aim is steady rather than dramatic: better day-to-day control, fewer symptoms, and protection for the organs that high sugar quietly damages first.

Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders conditions we treat

Type 2 Diabetes

In type 2 diabetes the body still makes insulin, but the cells stop responding to it properly, so sugar stays in the blood instead of being used for energy. It usually builds up quietly over years, alongside weight gain, stress and a family history, which is why many people feel reasonably well until a routine test or a stubborn infection reveals it.

Common signs

  • Excess thirst, frequent urination
  • Fatigue, slow-healing wounds
  • Numbness or tingling in feet

When to consult: If your sugars stay high despite regular tablets and careful eating, or your doctor keeps increasing the dose at each visit, that is the point to come in rather than wait for the next report.

Juvenile (Type 1) Diabetes

In type 1 diabetes the pancreas has stopped making insulin, so insulin injections are lifelong and essential, and nothing we give can replace them. What we offer is supportive care alongside your child's diabetes specialist: help with general health, appetite, recurrent infections, energy and the confidence of the family, while the endocrinologist manages the insulin and the sugar targets.

Common signs

  • Weight loss despite eating well
  • Frequent urination, bed-wetting
  • Extreme thirst and hunger

When to consult: If your child's sugars swing widely between highs and lows, or infections and tiredness keep interrupting school despite good insulin control, speak to us early so support can run alongside the specialist's care.

Diabetic Neuropathy

Years of raised sugar slowly damage the small nerves, most often in the feet, so burning, tingling and numbness usually start at the toes and move upward. Symptoms are typically worse at night, when even the light pressure of a bedsheet can be uncomfortable, and the loss of sensation is the more serious concern, because a blister or a stone in the chappal can go unnoticed until it becomes an ulcer.

Common signs

  • Burning or pins-and-needles in feet
  • Loss of sensation, foot ulcers
  • Pain worse at night

When to consult: Burning or numb feet that disturb your sleep, or any cut, crack or blister on the foot that is not healing, should be seen promptly and not left to another season.

Nephritis / Kidney Protection

The kidneys filter blood through millions of tiny vessels, and long-standing sugar or blood pressure damages them silently, so the first sign is often protein in a routine urine test rather than any symptom felt directly. Where kidney disease is established, we work as supportive care alongside your nephrologist and physician, aiming to ease swelling, appetite and weakness while they manage the medicines and monitoring.

Common signs

  • Swelling of feet or face
  • Frothy urine, raised creatinine
  • High blood pressure

When to consult: Frothy urine, puffiness around the eyes or ankles, or a creatinine level that has risen on two consecutive reports are all reasons to be reviewed now rather than at your next annual check-up.

High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is often called the silent problem, because most people feel nothing at all while the heart, kidneys, eyes and brain quietly take the strain. Others do notice it, as a dull headache at the back of the head, giddiness on standing, palpitations or a flushed feeling after stress or a poor night's sleep.

Common signs

  • Headache at the back of the head
  • Giddiness, palpitations
  • Often no symptoms at all; found on check-up

When to consult: If your readings stay above target at home, or your tablets keep needing to be increased, come in for a proper review, and treat a severe headache with chest pain, vomiting or blurred vision as an emergency.

High Cholesterol

Cholesterol causes no pain, so it is almost always found in a report rather than felt in the body, usually as a raised LDL or triglyceride level in someone who also has a fatty liver, a widening waist or diabetes. The concern is the years it silently narrows the arteries, especially where heart disease already runs in the family.

Common signs

  • Raised LDL or triglycerides on reports
  • Family history of heart disease
  • Obesity, fatty liver

When to consult: Bring your lipid profile to us when the numbers keep rising despite diet and walking, or when a parent or sibling had a heart attack young, rather than waiting for symptoms that may never appear first.

Obesity and Weight Gain

Weight gain is rarely a matter of eating too much alone. Thyroid trouble, PCOD, insulin resistance, certain medicines, poor sleep and long-term stress all push the body to hold weight, which is why a diet that helps one person may do little for another. We look for the underlying reason first, then treat the tendency behind the appetite and the sluggish metabolism, alongside sensible food and activity advice.

Common signs

  • Steady weight gain despite diet
  • Thyroid or PCOD-related weight
  • Fatigue, breathlessness on exertion

When to consult: When weight is bringing breathlessness on stairs, knee pain, snoring or a borderline sugar report with it, that is the moment to start rather than to try one more crash diet.

How homeopathy approaches this

Homeopathy does not treat the fasting sugar figure on its own. In a constitutional consultation we ask how your energy runs through the day, how you sleep, what your thirst and appetite are like, how much stress you are carrying at work or at home, how you handle heat and cold, and what runs in your family. Two people with the very same HbA1c often need two different medicines, because the remedy is matched to the person carrying the illness and not only to the label on the report.

Worked this way, constitutional treatment aims to steady the body's own regulation, so that the complaints you actually feel, the tiredness, the burning feet, the giddiness, the constant hunger or the sluggish weight, begin to settle, and the reports are watched at the same time. This runs alongside your existing treatment, never in place of it. Insulin, metformin, blood pressure tablets and statins are continued exactly as prescribed, and any reduction in dose is made only by your own physician after seeing fresh reports. We will never ask you to stop a medicine, and we do not promise a cure.

What to expect at the clinic

Your first consultation with Dr. Raju takes about thirty to forty minutes, because he needs a complete clinical picture and not only your latest report. Please bring your fasting and post-lunch sugar, HbA1c, lipid profile, urine and creatinine reports, your home blood pressure readings if you take them, and the strips or boxes of every medicine you currently take. Follow-ups are usually once a month, with repeat blood work at the interval your physician advises, so progress is judged by your symptoms and your reports together. Metabolic conditions are slow by nature and are managed over the long term, so improvement is gradual rather than instant, and we will tell you honestly if homeopathy is not the right answer for your case. Anyone with chest pain, sudden breathlessness, a very high or very low sugar reading, confusion, or a foot wound that is spreading should seek immediate medical care at a hospital rather than wait for a clinic appointment.

Our clinic is at Plot No 4, Sreenidhi Apartments, Manovikas Nagar, Old Bowenpally, a few minutes from Tirumalgiri and Trimulgherry and an easy drive from Begumpet and the rest of Secunderabad. Patients also come to us from Alwal, Sainikpuri and Kompally, and since sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol need steady monthly follow-up, having the clinic close to home makes regular follow-up easier to maintain.

Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders: your questions answered

Homeopathic pills are sweet. Will they raise my sugar?

This is the first question almost every diabetic patient asks us, and it is a fair one. The tiny globules are made of cane sugar, but the quantity in a dose is a fraction of a gram and does not move your readings. Even so, for diabetic patients we are happy to dispense the same medicine in liquid or water dose form instead.

Can I stop my metformin or insulin once homeopathy starts working?

No, and please do not try. Every tablet and every unit of insulin continues exactly as prescribed while we treat you. If your sugars and HbA1c improve steadily over months, the person who reduces the dose is your own physician, after seeing fresh reports. We will happily write to them or send your progress notes with you.

My sugar is controlled now, but my feet still burn at night. Is that normal?

It is common, and it deserves attention rather than acceptance. Nerve damage from earlier years of high sugar does not reverse the moment your readings improve, and the burning, tingling and numbness can continue on their own. Homeopathic treatment aims to ease that discomfort and support the nerves, while good sugar control and regular foot checks continue.

My urine report shows protein and my creatinine is slightly up. Is it too late for homeopathy?

It is not too late to be helped, but it is the point to be careful. Early kidney changes need your physician or a nephrologist monitoring the reports, and we work as supportive care alongside them, never instead. Bring every urine, creatinine and eGFR report you have so we can follow the trend rather than a single number.

I have sugar, BP and cholesterol together. Do I need three different homeopathic medicines?

Usually not. Constitutional homeopathy looks for the one pattern running underneath all three, so a single well-chosen remedy is often prescribed for the whole picture rather than one medicine per report. Sometimes a second medicine is added for a specific complaint. Your regular allopathic tablets for each condition continue as they are.

My child has type 1 diabetes. Will homeopathy let us reduce the insulin?

Insulin is life-saving in type 1 diabetes and must continue lifelong, so we never treat it as something to be reduced or replaced. Our role is supportive, alongside your child's diabetes specialist: general health, appetite, energy, frequent infections and the strain the family carries. Any change to insulin is only ever the specialist's decision.
