Constitutional homeopathy treats the person experiencing the rash, not the rash in isolation. Before selecting a medicine, we ask what makes the itching worse — heat, cold, sweat or water — along with your sleep, digestion, stress levels, and whether asthma, allergy or thyroid conditions run in the family. Two patients with the same diagnosis of psoriasis often need two different remedies.
This approach requires patience, which we explain at the first visit. Skin sometimes flares briefly before it settles, and we describe this possibility in advance so it is expected rather than alarming. We do not promise a cure or a fixed timeline. What we track are specific, visible changes: longer gaps between flares, less itching at night, smaller patches, and reduced need for cream. Any prescribed medicine is continued as directed; reductions are decided only by the doctor who prescribed it, based on your reports.
What to expect at the clinic
Your first visit takes about thirty to forty-five minutes. We listen to the full history of the skin complaint, examine the affected areas, review previous prescriptions and any test reports, and ask about diet, sleep, stress, periods and family history. Photographs from a bad flare are useful for comparison at later visits. Medicines are sweet pills dissolved on the tongue, with simple instructions. We typically review you every three to four weeks at first, comparing photographs and notes rather than relying on memory alone. Sudden hives often settle quickly, while long-standing conditions such as psoriasis, vitiligo and lichen planus are measured in months and reassessed at every visit, so expectations are updated as treatment progresses. If you ever experience sudden swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, a rash with high fever, or skin peeling off in sheets, seek emergency care immediately.
